The Sodwana Bay National Park forms part of the iSimangaliso Wetland World Heritage Site. This scenically beautiful area is recognized as one of the top snorkelling and dive sites in South Africa. Game fishing is also a popular pastime. In the summer Loggerhead and Leatherback turtles come ashore to nest. Accommodation is offered in log cabins.

The Kosi Bay Nature Reserve is located on the banks of Lake Nhlange in the Kosi Lake system on the border with Mozambique. Fly fishing is the most popular activity within the reserve, although you need to purchase a permit. There are three self-catering lodges.

The Mkhuze Game Reserve is situated in Northern Zululand and forms part of the iSimangaliso Wetland Park. The Reserve offers some of the best game viewing in KwaZulu-Natal. There are some fantastic walking and hiking trails in the reserve which offer some of the best birding in South Africa. There is a variety of accommodation within the reserve from the Mantuma Resort to the Tented Safari Camp and the Nhlonhlela Bush Lodge.

Cape Vidal is situated within the iSimangaliso Wetland Park. It is renowned for its sport fishing and some of the best snorkelling in KwaZulu-Natal. There is a range of accommodation within the reserve including Log Cabins and the Bhangazi Bush Lodge.

Maphelane is the southernmost camp in the iSimangaliso Wetland Park. It is on the south bank of the Mfolozi River Mouth. Accommodation is offered in fully equipped Log Cabins that have a kitchenette, en-suite bathroom and a lounge-dining room.
