Ebb and Flow Rest Camp

Ebb and Flow Rest Camp in Wilderness National Park comprises of a north and south section. Ebb & Flow Rest Camp accommodation types include 4-bed family cottages and 4-bed log cottages on wooden stilts. The Forest Cabins have 2-bed and 4-bed options. The 2-bed Rondavels are considered to be very basic budget accommodation.

There is no shop, restaurant or ATM facilities in Ebb and Flow Rest Camp but you can find a list at reception of nearby facilities in the town of Wilderness.

Camp Site at Ebb and Flow Rest Camp

You can choose between staying in north or south Camp Sites at Ebb and Flow Rest Camp. All the camp sites sleep up to 6 people and have a communal (shared) bathroom and scullery facilities. Prices vary depending on if there is a power point and view at the camp site. 

Rondawel at Ebb and Flow Rest Camp

Rondawels at Ebb and Flow Rest Camp sleep 2 people and are free-standing units with 2 single beds, chairs, table and kicthen facilities including a fridge-freezer, kettle, 2-plate hot-plate, utensils, cutlery and crockery. Please note that some Rondawels have shared bathroom facilities.

  • Rondawel North (HE2N) - Communal (shared) bathroom
  • Rondawel North (HK2N) -  Private toilet and shower

Forest Cabin at Ebb and Flow Rest Camp

These cosy Forest Cabins at Ebb and Flow Rest Camp are raised on stilts and can accommodate 2 or 4 people. they all have a small deck area.

  • Forest Cabin En Suite South (HF2ZS) - 2 single beds, communal (shared) kitchen, fridge, utensils, toilet and shower
  • Forest Cabin En Suite South (HF4S) - 4 single beds, communal (shared) kitchen, fridge, utensils, toilet and shower
  • Forest Cabin En Suite South (HF2S) - 2 single beds, communal (shared) kitchen, fridge, utensils, toilet and shower

Log Cottage at Ebb and Flow Rest Camp

The free-standing raised Log Cottages at Ebb and Flow Rest Camp sleep 4 people in 2 bedrooms. All cottages have a a small lounge area and a kitchen with a dining area, patio with braai.

  • Log Cottage South (FT4DS) - 1 bedroom with 2 single beds, 1 bedroom with a double bed, kitchen, toilet, shower and bath
  • Log Cottage South (FT4S) - 2 bedrooms, each with 2 single beds, kitchen, toilet, shower and bath
  • Log Cottage South (FT4DTS) - 1 bedroom with 2 single beds, 1 bedroom with a double bed, TV with DSTV, kitchen, toilet, shower and bath, sleeper couch for kids
  • Log Cottage South (FT4DSS) -  1 bedroom with 2 single beds, 1 bedroom with a double bed, TV with DSTV, kitchen, toilet, shower, sleeper couch for kids

Family Cottage at Ebb and Flow Rest Camp

Family Cottages at Ebb and Flow Rest Camp can sleep 4 people and all include the same facilities:

  • 2 bedrooms - 1 room with a double bed and 1 room with 2 single beds
  • Lounge with a fireplace
  • TV with limited DSTV channels (except for Cottage FA4DS)
  • Kitchen (fridge-freezer, microwave, stove, kettle, toaster)
  • Dining area
  • Toilet and a shower
  • Patio with a braai

Under The Boardwalk Guest House facilities include a swimming pool and a restaurant. Please note that Under The Boardwalk Guest House is built on a slope and there are between 10, 130 and 150 steps connecting the rooms and chalets to the lodge - however, the climb is well worth it.
