Namaqua National Park is a South African national park situated approximately 495km north of Cape Town and 22km northwest of Kamieskroon in the Northern Cape.
Namaqua National Park is located roughly 495km from Cape Town, just off the N7 route to Namibia. The nearest town is Kamieskroon, which sits just 2 km from the reserve.
While most visitors arrive from Cape Town, heading along the scenic coastal route to get there, the drive from Upington is also beautiful, showcasing the magic and solitude of the Karoo. Whichever route you choose, expect to be rewarded with epic views and intriguing padstals (small roadside shops) to stop at.
If you’re arriving from further afield and would like the most direct route into Namaqua National Park, there is a private airstrip at Springbok which is roughly 70kms away via road.
