Augrabies Falls National Park is located in the far reaches of South Africa in the Northern Cape Province, just west of the town of Uppington.
Established back in 1966, Augrabies Falls National Park is located in the Northern Cape Province of South Africa. It surrounds the iconic Augrabies Falls and sits roughly 120km west of Upington and 40 km northwest of Kakamas.
Many visitors arrive via road from the city of Johannesburg, the most direct route from here being the N14. The scenic N12 (known as the Diamond Route) winds through the province and is also a great alternative if you’re not strapped for time.
The internal Internal roads of the park are gravelled and well-demarcated, but if you’re not planning on self-driving and would like to arrive via air, there is a private airfield 5 km from the park.
