This Limpopo Nature Reserve accommodation offers fully equipped tented suites, campsites with power as well as luxury lodge accommodation on a private concession. Guests can enjoy picnics at various view sites in the park or enjoy barbeques at their camp.

Guests need to bring their own wood and charcoal.

Unfenced safari camp

The safari camp has not been fenced and therefore guests are warned to stay within the confines of the tent and deck area. Walking outside the confines of the camp is a risk due to dangerous game and could negatively affect the experience of other visitors. No fishing or swimming is allowed in the dam.

Secure all belongings and food

This is important when not in camp due to roaming baboons and monkeys. Tents should be closed and food locked away, even the fridge can be turned slightly to prevent the door from opening easily. Guests are asked not to feed the animals.

Wheelchair Access

Marakele National Park accommodation is set in a wilderness area. The reception block has ablution facilities available for people with mobility impairment. The safari tent camp features one unit that is wheelchair accessible. The ablution facilities are also wheelchair friendly. The camp site also has wheelchair friendly ablution facilities.

Tlopi Tented Camp

Tlopi camp derives its name from the word Motlopi, which is the Tswana name for the 'Witgat' tree. This unfenced safari camp is situated on the banks of the Tlopi River, shaded by trees. Romantic Tlopi Tented Camp comprises of furnished units overlooking the banks of the Apiesrivierpoort Dam.

Each tent contains 2 beds (2 stretchers for children available on request), a private bathroom with shower, wash basin and toilet, a fully equipped kitchen with fridge / freezer, 2-plate stove and electricity. The tents have fans, verandas with tables, deck chairs and barbecue facilities - ideal for enjoying sun downers.

Bontle Camping Site

Bontle means beautiful in Tswana. Bontle Camping Site comprises of 38 camp sites equipped with electricity. One communal ablution block is used per cluster. The camping site is located adjacent the park's new reception and administration offices. The offices are located at the reception entrance gate to the picnic area at Kwaggasvlakte.

Marataba Luxury Lodge

This superb lodge is located on a private concession within Marakele National Park. The lodge is a member of Relais & Chateaux and has stunning views of the Waterberg Mountains. There are 15 luxury tented suites and exceptional facilities available.
