By Road:
The recommended route is via Port Elizabeth on the R75 towards Graaf-Reinet for 258 kilometres (160.3 miles). Turn right and take the R63 towards Pearson / Somerset East for 7 kilometres (4.3 miles). Turn left onto the Petersburg gravel road and drive for another 23 kilometres (14.3 miles) to the Karoo Lodge.
By Air:
There are daily flights from Johannesburg, Durban and Cape Town to Port Elizabeth, from where Samara staff can assist with road transfers to the lodge. Air charters from Port Elizabeth to Samara (gravel airstrip) can also be arranged, further details on request.
