Game Drives in open Land Rovers are offered at sunrise and sunset and at other times throughout the day, depending on guest needs. Bonamanzi features different antelope species, Giraffe, Warthog, birds, Zebra, Elephant, Wild Dog and Hyena. For something quite different, book the midnight game drive when you can see the lesser-known nocturnal animals and maybe catch a glimpse of the elusive Leopard.

Snack and refreshment breaks are part of all the activities at Bonamanzi and there is nothing quite as pleasant as watching the sun set over Lake St Lucia with gin and tonic in one hand, biltong, cheese and biscuits in the other.

Muzikwamkwanazi Zulu Village is a charming and wholly authentic village located in the beautiful Sand Forest within easy walking distance of the Lalapanzi and Dinizulu camps. Bonamanzi's experienced local guides possess an exceptional knowledge of the surrounding environment and local culture, and their lively, often anecdotal, interaction with the guests, ensures that each visitor to Muzikwamkwanazi takes home something quite unique.

At Bonamanzi, no guided walk is the same; one day you could sight Elephant, the next you will find out why that fruit is called the black Monkey orange or why the Beetle rolls its dung.

'Muthi' is the Zulu word for medicine. The Zulu people believe very strongly in natural cures and antidotes for anything from a stomach ache to a broken heart. On 'muthi' walks you will find out how the Ilala palm is used to make beer, learn how the Fever Tree got its name or discover which tree bark cures hay fever.

Do make a point of booking for the Bonamanzi Bush Braai (Barbeque) during your stay. This is an African barbeque served at the waters edge at Dinizulu Dam by night. Served by candlelight, you sample local delicacies and venison dishes, savour South African wines and linger with other guests around the campfire.

Conferencing:
The conference facility, with its 2 breakaway rooms is in easy walking distance from the 52 bed Lalapanzi Camp. The venue is fully equipped with an overhead projector, flip chart, television, video machine and slide projector.

Air-conditioned, it is designed to comfortably accommodate up to 30 delegates boardroom style and 50 delegates cinema style. There are 2 breakaway rooms and the staff enthusiastically assist conference organisers with planning special themes and group activities.

Conference accommodation is at Lalapanzi Camp where Impala and Warthog roam freely and guests can watch birds, Crocodiles and Hippo from a stilted viewing lounge overlooking the dam. Air-conditioned cottages are en-suite with private verandahs. There is an Out of Africa style restaurant and pub or the option of a bush braai (Barbeque) by candlelight served by the waters edge with the sounds of nocturnal animals all around.
