The average number in a group of Zebras is about 20 with a dominant stallion, several adult mares, and their foals. The stallion has exclusive mating rights over the mares and other males will have to fight with him for those rights during breeding season

When hiking through the park, one inevitably passes through stands of trees of which the flaking bark and silky-haired leaves are characteristic. These trees are called Oldwood (Ouhout), Leucosidea sericea.
