In a class of their own, the Shayamanzi Houseboats together can sleep a maximum of 40 people. The facilities are excellent and the cabins are well appointed, with hot pressurised showers and plug points. The large picture windows and sliding doors give a fantastic view of the surroundings.
Aboard Shayamanzi I or II, cruising in style at 5 knots, guests can look forward to a different anchorage each evening. The cruise begins in the north at the entrance of the Pongola River and moves round to the west where the Pongola Game Reserve and Nature Reserve reach down to the banks of the lake perfect for viewing game at close range.
Herds of Black and White Rhino, Buffalo, Elephant, Wildebeest, Giraffe and Zebra can be seen from Shayamanzi's decks. Lots of Antelope species can be viewed as well as Black Backed Jackal, Hyena, Cheetah and Wild Dog.just a taste of the prolific game.
