Visitors to Shongweni Dam and Game Reserve can enjoy optional game drives in open 4x4 vehicles, travelling through wilderness areas that are home to Rhino, Zebra and some of the larger antelope.

Shongweni is also rated as one of the top bird sanctuaries with over 200 species recorded, this is due to the excellent variety of habitat types, from water, forest, grassland to classic thorn-veld.
