Aquila Private Game Reserve, Western Cape, South Africa is an easy drive from Cape Town and surrounded by majestic mountains, rivers, valleys and kloofs.
Cape Town and situated on the national flower route. The reserve features 3 biomes - Fynbos, Renosterveldt and succulent Karoo and has several hectares of mountain Proteas.
From July through September the reserve showcases a wonderful display of colourful Karoo flowers. Aquila Private Game Reserve, Western Cape, South Africa is a prestigious 4-star, malaria-free safari destination and stands in an area of 4,500 hectares of Klein Karoo. Guests can see fabulous wildlife in this reserve which is also home to Big Five game (Elephant, Rhino, Buffalo, Lion and Leopard).
The little Karoo enjoys sunshine most of the year. Summers are warm and dry, winters are crisp and dry. The prevailing weather lends itself to long walks, hiking, cycling and other outdoor activities.

Directions to Aquila Private Game Reserve:
Follow the N1 highway from Cape Town for approximately 130km (81 miles). The road will take you passed Paarl, through the Huguenot toll road, passed Worcester, De Doorns and through the Hex River Valley.
Approximately 30km (19 miles) after De Doorns and just passed the road sign indicating “10km to Touws River”, you will get to the R46 turnoff to Ceres. Take the turnoff to the left. Follow the road for approximately 3km (1.8 miles). You will find the Aquila Private Game Reserve main entrance on your left hand side.
