Aquila Game Reserve in South Africa provides a malaria-free Big Five safari destination in the Klein Karoo with exquisite land features, 4x4 safaris, horseback safaris and quad biking. Aquila is situated on the national flower route and from July to September the reserve displays a splendid carpet of Karoo flowers. Birdwatchers will find the natural wetland of interest, where a wide array of bird species can be seen, including Flamingo in the rainy season. The reserve is surrounded by historic towns, wine routes, and places to go for trout fishing and golf.
