Aquila Game Reserve in South Africa provides a malaria-free Big Five safari destination in the Klein Karoo with exquisite land features, 4x4 safaris, horseback safaris and quad biking. Bushman paintings that date back over 10 000 years, birding and refreshing dips in the salt-water swimming pool can all be enjoyed on this 4 500 hectare reserve.

Aquila is situated on the national flower route and from July to September the reserve displays a splendid carpet of Karoo flowers. Birdwatchers will find the natural wetland of interest, where a wide array of bird species can be seen, including Flamingo in the rainy season.
